Golfing

In the area are a number of golf courses and you can easily plan a golfing holiday and play every day. All courses are less than an hours drive away. Below are some of the courses locally. Please check out the sites of each course or email for details of current green fees.

Bagnoles l'Orne Golf Club - Our nearest course. Built in the heart of the Andaine Forest in 1927 this course is flat but very deceptive. A 9 hole course of 2401 metres with a par 66, the adjacent river comes into play on 7 holes and there are no par 5's. Facilities include Bar/Club House, Putting Greens. Flers - Just a 20minute drive away is this par 64 course of 4240 metres at La Selle la Forge. A pretty course with a stunning lake, Website Golf Flers le Houlme

Vire - Situated north of Domfront in the Calvados area this is a demanding par 70 course of 5416 metres and is built around a lake at Dathee. More information about Golf de Vire la Dathee

Belleme Golf Club - The course set in a vast natural setting with wide spaces broken by mature forest is designed around four natural water hazards. Whilst challenging this course offers something for golfers of all abilities. The greens are large and not many bunkers. Has practice facilities, driving range and Club House. Walking is available in the UNESCO classified forest along with a horse riding centre, tennis courts and swimming pool.

Clecy Golf - This 100 acre property offers fairways that intertwine with nature with over this 19 hole 5967 metre course. For early birds you are likely to meet the local wildlife so expect to see deer, hare and lots of birds. There is an enchanting club house where you will find a warm welcome. Garcelles Golf Club - This 5716 metre course initially conceived as a 9 hole in 1989 with a further 9 added in 2001 offers spectacular golf. The front nine has wide fairways with low vegetation the end of the course is beautifully set with big trees and superb views.
